Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
• Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts and ensure compliance with standards.
• Contribute to budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis.
• Handle payroll processing for small business clients with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain detailed bookkeeping records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Support senior accountants in tax preparation, reporting, and audits.
• Use accounting software, including QuickBooks, to manage financial data and reporting.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Propose innovative solutions to improve workflows and enhance client satisfaction.
• Stay informed about industry trends, tax regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Accounting preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 1 year in accounting or bookkeeping roles, or recent college graduates with strong internship experience.
• Knowledge of debits, credits, and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

Nice-to-haves

• CPA or EA certification pipeline is a bonus.
• Payroll processing experience preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with public accounting or financial services is a plus.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a strong advantage.
