About The Position

The Junior Aircraft Records Analyst is responsible for supporting the team that investigates all aircraft part discrepancies for Alaska Airlines (AS). As a member of the Aircraft Records team, this individual contributor, under supervision, works closely with other Maintenance and Engineering (M&E) departments on maintenance paperwork audits and reviews and interprets policies via the General Procedures Manual (GPM) to maintain and improve the integrity of Alaska's Aircraft Records System.

Requirements

  • 2 years of administrative or record keeping experience; or related area
  • Effective communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, and listening).
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Aircraft records experience.
  • Knowledge of rotable and life limited parts (including certification and serviceability), Federal Air Regulations (FAR) and airworthiness directives (AD) compliance, and inventory tracking.
  • General understanding of TRAX system
  • Associates degree

Responsibilities

  • Supervised to deliver audits on airworthiness directive (AD) status on aircraft and appliances in addition to maintaining the tracking system with current information.
  • Follow established procedures to generate complete and accurate historical records of aircraft, engines, and related components.
  • Perform daily review of paperwork and tracking of all aircraft deferrals.
  • Identify rotable parts tracking and parts interchangeability issues and escalate when appropriate.
  • Routinely support in verifying accuracy and completeness of documentation and forecast information for airframe in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.
  • Gather reports and perform ongoing reviews of the Aircraft Records system providing input to ensure data and system integrity.
  • Supervised to perform audit of outside vendor paperwork, Aircraft Records System, as well as all heavy checks, for accuracy and completeness.
  • In collaboration with team, perform audits of various records and resolves any discrepancies with aircraft parts.
