About the position

North River Architecture & Planning is seeking a full-time Junior Architectural Designer to assist in all phases of architectural design and construction documentation. The role involves working closely with a small team to support various aspects of project development, from initial design concepts to final construction, with a focus on sustainable architecture.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all phases of architectural design and construction documents.
• Provide construction phase services and project support.
• Source materials and prepare specifications.
• Assist in budgeting and presentations for projects.
• Collaborate with team members on various project tasks.

Requirements

• B. Arch or M.Arch Professional Degree.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D, including XRef management and construction drawing preparation.
• Proficient in SketchUp, Photoshop, Adobe Suite, and Mac software.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with structural and mechanical engineers.
• On-site construction services experience.
