Wilson Butler Architects Inc. is seeking a Junior Architectural Designer with a valid architecture license and 3-5 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will be fully competent in all conventional aspects of architecture and will independently perform a variety of assignments that require skills in architectural design for projects of moderate size and complexity. The role involves conducting analyses of design, planning, and occupancy studies, as well as preparing project specifications by compiling and analyzing relevant data. The Junior Architectural Designer may also assist in writing reports and specifications, and will be responsible for reviewing completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations. In this position, the Junior Architectural Designer will be responsible for limited technical design aspects of assigned projects, which includes investigating, evaluating, and recommending design solutions. The designer will perform assignments under direction with limited responsibility and will develop or lead design efforts of limited scope and complexity. Effective communication with engineers and consultants is essential to ensure an integrated and coordinated design. The designer will participate in client meetings in a supporting role and collaborate with team members to achieve project goals. The candidate should possess the ability to make independent judgments in evaluation, selection, and adaptation of design solutions, as well as the capability to solve problems independently. The role may also involve managing aspects of larger, more complex projects. A thorough understanding of applicable building codes and accessibility requirements is necessary, along with a working understanding of routine technical details. The designer will be expected to effectively use standard industry design and production software programs such as Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, or similar to complete project tasks.
