About the position

Leidos is hiring a Junior Asset Manager to support the ESA V program, which is an IT Services program catering to several federal customers. This program encompasses a wide range of IT services, including help desk support, asset management, desk-side support, Windows workstation engineering and maintenance, managed print services, IT Service Management (ITSM), Active Directory services, and video conferencing, among others. The selected candidate will be part of the Asset Management team, working from our Downtown Washington, DC office, which requires 100% onsite presence. Please note that parking costs are not covered by the company. The ESA V program is committed to delivering high-quality customer support, and a significant aspect of the asset management team's role involves direct interaction with customers to ensure their issues are resolved promptly. Therefore, the ability to prioritize tasks based on ticket and customer urgency, along with clear and effective communication skills, are essential for success in this position. All activities will be tracked using a ticketing system, which is crucial for monitoring performance against negotiated service level agreements and assessing staff effectiveness. Team members are expected to keep their tickets updated at all times. The technology utilized in this role includes Windows 10 laptops and desktops, Microsoft Office tools, and email services through Microsoft Exchange and Outlook, among other standard office tools. Candidates should have prior experience in resolving issues within a similar office IT environment. The selected individual will undergo a Government Public Trust security investigation and must meet the eligibility criteria for accessing customer information. While a current clearance is not required, the candidate cannot commence work until the necessary security clearance is granted, which may take over 10 weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Ship and receive all IT assets.
  • Maintain accuracy of the asset management database.
  • Process Break/Fix, returns, and new seat documentation for end-user computer devices.
  • Perform backup data recovery, imaging, and repair.
  • Create incidents/service tickets through ServiceNow, our ticket management system.
  • Assess issues and diagnose problems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 3+ years of experience.
  • Customer service-focused attitude.
  • Past experience providing IT support in a Windows office environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain a public trust security clearance prior to start date.
  • Ability to maintain a public trust security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizen.

Nice-to-haves

  • Use of an ITSM ticketing system (ServiceNow).
  • Past experience with Department of Justice components.
  • Active Public Trust access with the Department of Justice.
