About the position
This position is for a remote legal role at a small and growing law firm specializing in Personal Injury, First Amendment, and Employment Law. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Personal Injury and Employment Law, with a strong emphasis on writing and drafting skills. The firm is open to part-time applicants and seeks someone who is eager to learn and grow within the firm while providing legal counsel under the supervision of senior attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Perform legal research and prepare for hearings or other legal proceedings.
- Provide general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys.
- Assist clients in determining solutions to legal conflicts and the best course of action.
- Collaborate with clients, senior associates, and other staff to efficiently move cases toward resolution.
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in New Jersey and New York.
- Excellent writing and drafting skills.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn from senior attorneys.

- Prior experience in a law firm.
