About the position

The Junior Automation Control Systems Engineer position at Burrow Global Automation involves supporting the design, development, and installation of control systems for clients in the energy, specialty chemical, and sustainable energy markets. The role requires collaboration with clients and team members to ensure efficient and safe operation of automation projects, from initial design to operational support.

Responsibilities

  • Support control system design, development, and installation under the guidance of the Automation Lead.
  • Participate in capital projects, new installations, testing, and modernization projects for new systems.
  • Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously as needed.
  • Engage in face-to-face meetings with clients, representing Burrow Global professionally.
  • Provide technical support, problem-solving, maintenance, modifications, and continuous improvement for process control systems.
  • Travel to domestic client sites, which may require up to 25-50% travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, electrical, instrument, computer engineering, or a similar discipline (or equivalent technical experience).
  • 0-5 years of experience in the automation field with hands-on experience with one or more control or safety instrumented system platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Emerson, Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens, etc.).
  • 0-5 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Chemicals, or adjacent markets.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic understanding of control systems documentation (e.g., P&IDs, Cause and Effects, Control System Architecture, I/O Index, etc.).
  • Familiarity with basic concepts of Control System networks and connectivity.
  • Basic understanding of chemical/refining processes and applications.
