About the position

Alvarez & Marsal's Tax practice is seeking a talented junior developer (back end or full stack) to join the tax technology team. This hire will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting world-class software. Your software will operate in all facets of A&M Tax; from internal tools that improve efficiencies to client-facing enterprise systems that compete at the world level. As a junior developer, you will play a crucial role in the development process, ensuring that the software meets the needs of both the firm and its clients. You will work closely with clients and subject matter experts to understand their challenges and contribute to creating elegant solutions to complex business problems. In this position, you will be expected to design clean architecture with an emphasis on reusable components, build efficient and explainable code, and test your work to a high standard. You will contribute to all aspects of a project's lifecycle, including documenting requirements, solution development, system configuration, testing, debugging, and support. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment, where you will be part of a team that values innovation and results.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients and subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand the problems.

Requirements

  • Experience in back-end or full-stack development.

  • Experience with testing methodologies and practices.
