About the position

Alvarez & Marsal's Tax practice is seeking a talented junior developer (back end or full stack) to join the tax technology team. This hire will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting world-class software. Your software will operate in all facets of A&M Tax; from internal tools that improve efficiencies to client-facing enterprise systems that compete at the world level. As a junior developer, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects that directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of tax operations. You will collaborate closely with clients and subject matter experts to understand their needs and challenges, ensuring that the solutions you develop are both practical and impactful. In this role, you will contribute to envisioning elegant solutions to some of the most challenging business problems faced by our clients. You will be involved in designing clean architecture with an emphasis on reusable components, which is crucial for maintaining high standards of code quality and efficiency. Your responsibilities will also include building efficient and explainable code, testing your work to a high standard, and contributing to all aspects of a project's lifecycle. This includes documenting requirements, solution development, system configuration, testing, debugging, and providing ongoing support. Responsibilities

• Consult with clients and subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand the problems.

Requirements

• Experience in back-end or full-stack development.
• Familiarity with software design principles and architecture.
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
• Experience with testing methodologies and practices.
