About the position

The Junior CAD Designer will join a civil engineering team in Phoenix, AZ, focusing on solid waste infrastructure projects. Initially, the role will involve pure CAD drafting, with opportunities to advance into CAD design, particularly in land development and heavy civil infrastructure. The designer will create 2D and 3D drawings, utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, under the guidance of senior designers.

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Draft designs for land development and heavy civil infrastructure projects.
• Visualize terrain, cut and fill slopes, concrete structures, and pipelines from concept sketches.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 0 to 4 years of experience using AutoCAD or completion of a CAD course
• Strong interest in CAD drafting/design.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience or exposure to land development
• AutoCAD experience for pipelines, grading, and horizontal layout design.
