About the position

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Junior Chief of Staff to support our CEO in driving organizational efficiency and strategic coordination. This role carries significant administrative responsibilities while also providing a unique opportunity to engage directly with high-level executives and support top company strategic priorities. You will work closely with the CEO and Senior Chief of Staff on impactful projects, supporting and coordinating initiatives from start to finish. The position requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving. Given the fast-paced environment, the ability to maintain discretion, confidentiality, and work well under pressure is essential. Responsibilities

  • Optimize efficiency of the CEO’s time, owning comprehensive calendar management and scheduling, including regular ‘audits’ to ensure optimal productivity
  • Coordinate preparation of materials for critical meetings (agendas, board decks), and maintain meticulous documentation and record-keeping systems
  • Work with Senior Chief of Staff to support ongoing business management (e.g., consolidating inputs and metrics for business reviews, coordinating weekly leadership updates)
  • Own and provide support on ad hoc strategic projects directly for the CEO & Senior Chief of Staff
  • Work with Office Manager to ensure seamless preparation for VIP meetings and office events

Requirements

  • Top tier academic background
  • 1+ year of experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment
  • Extremely high attention to detail
  • Ability to operate independently and make decisions with minimal oversight
  • High degree of responsiveness and proactivity, with the flexibility to address urgent matters during less traditional hours
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to independently manage tasks to completion
  • Superb communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfort with data analysis
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Google Suite (Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs)
  • Based in NYC (or willing to relocate), able to be in the office 4+ days a week
