We are looking for an experienced and talented Junior CloudOps Engineer to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in our cloud operations team, focusing on ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud-based infrastructure. The Junior CloudOps Engineer will be responsible for the deployment, management, and monitoring of cloud services across multiple platforms, primarily focusing on automating operations and implementing best practices in cloud architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Own, identify, and define cloud architecture solutions to effectively meet the strategic needs of the company.
  • Take part in design, development, and deployment projects in the GCP cloud space using automated orchestration and configuration management techniques.
  • Meet security goals and pave the way for digital transformation and modernization.
  • Engage in designing and implementing secure and compliant enterprise servers, network infrastructure, boundary protection, and cloud architectures, incl. Kubernetes, Firewall, Routing, NAT, Terraform, LoadBalancer, Storages, DB, Monitoring, etc.
  • Authoring and peer review of detailed design documentation, including security documentation and implementing best practices.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in computer science or related engineering disciplines.
  • Work experience as a Cloud/DevOps/System Engineer with proficient know-how in GCP (preferred, Azure or AWS beneficial); cloud certifications are a plus.
  • Demonstrated DevOps expertise including automation and CI/CD, with deep involvement in continuous delivery automation, and the integration of cloud-native services to create fully functioning, cohesive delivery pipelines.
  • Experience in scripting or programming concepts, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, etc.
  • Experience with cloud monitoring tools to track resource utilization, identify performance issues, and set up alerts for proactive problem detection is advantageous.

Nice-to-haves

  • A strong software engineering and/or architecture background is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows client/server and Linux, Domain Controller, DNS, Firewall.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing fundamentals like IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and SaaS (Software as a Service) is essential.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices is crucial. This includes securing cloud resources, access control, and data encryption.
  • Experienced in VMware and migration to Cloud.
  • Fluent in English.
