About the position

The Junior Construction Recruiter - Bilingual position is a contract role based in Houston, TX, focused on recruiting blue-collar positions such as construction workers, CDL drivers, equipment operators, and skilled laborers. The recruiter will manage the end-to-end recruiting and onboarding process, ensuring compliance with company standards and providing a positive candidate experience.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the recruiting and onboarding end-to-end process for blue-collar positions.
  • Collaborate closely with HR and hiring managers to understand position specifications and develop recruiting strategies.
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective DOT drivers and initiate outbound calls to recruiting leads.
  • Conduct thorough phone screenings and pre-qualify candidates for DOT driver roles and other blue-collar positions.
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the recruiting and onboarding process.
  • Oversee background checks and coordinate pre-employment testing for potential new hires.
  • Complete onboarding activities in Success Factors as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting blue-collar positions, particularly CDL drivers, equipment operators, and skilled laborers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (speak, read, and write).
  • Proficiency in utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Corporate recruiting experience (Agency recruiting will be considered).
  • Familiarity with labor regulations, including DOT regulations and safety standards.
