The Junior Copywriter will report to the Creative Director in Austin, TX, and will be responsible for playing a critical role in the strategy, ideation, and copywriting of YETI's creative work. We are looking for a creative that uses conceptual, high-level thinking to craft compelling and well-written work that expands across all marketing channels.

Responsibilities

  • Create marketing assets for direct-to-consumer campaigns, which include email, performance media, social, retail displays, and YETI.com content
  • Brainstorm, concept, and present innovative creative marketing and advertising work that garners buy-in while netting measurable results
  • Use insights and analytics to understand current performance and future opportunities
  • Translate creative direction and story points from creative briefs into compelling brand storytelling
  • Present ideas in a clear and focused way that builds consensus with senior leaders and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure quality, clarity, and consistency in writing and overall craft across all channels and assets
  • Maintain and be a steward of YETI's brand voice and guidelines

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (1-2 years in an advertising or in-house copywriting role)
  • You have a portfolio with creative work for which you were primarily responsible
  • Willingness to do your own research and ability to quickly grasp, and bring to life the brand voice
  • Able to use strategic thinking to solve problems, even when they are not fully defined
  • You have a solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles and are eager to learn more
  • You are an optimistic, energetic team player
  • Experience with consumer product brands is preferred
  • MUST include your portfolio in your application to be considered
