About the position

We are seeking a Junior Copywriter to join our Creative Team! In this highly collaborative role, you will have the opportunity to develop and write for a wide variety of marketing and advertising materials, including print, web, direct mail, brochures, TV, video, and other pieces for internal and external use. Our team is located in Catonsville, MD and works onsite 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality, compelling, original copy for print and digital materials
  • Take responsibility for, and ownership of, copy from concept through execution of finished print and online work
  • Complete a high volume of projects simultaneously while ensuring that work is of the highest quality
  • Partner with designers and producers to develop and present convincing presentations of creative work, effectively explaining creative rationale, process, and methodologies
  • Develop effective partnerships with departmental peers to ensure a collaborative process evolves into well-developed creative that meets stakeholders' objectives
  • Use your love of writing to write in an informative, persuasive, and creative way
  • Accept feedback and constructive criticism eagerly and adapt your work accordingly

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A body of work that demonstrates creative, conceptual, and copywriting skills
  • Strong oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; proficient in creating PowerPoint presentations.
