About the position

Star Pipe Products is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to support the sales and supply chain departments. This entry-level role is designed for individuals with 2 to 5 years of experience in data analytics and machine learning. The Junior Data Analyst will analyze data, build predictive models, and provide actionable insights using tools such as Snowflake, Alteryx, and Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Analyze sales and supply chain data to uncover trends and anomalies.
• Develop predictive models and create dashboards to support business decisions.
• Collaborate across departments for data preparation, preprocessing, and actionable insights.
• Work across departments to enhance data collection processes and improve data usability.
• Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources using Alteryx and Snowflake.
• Develop and implement machine learning models for sales forecasting, inventory planning, production scheduling, and supply chain optimization.
• Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations in Tableau to present findings and insights.
• Monitor and evaluate model performance, refining models as needed to improve accuracy and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 2-5 years' experience in a data analytics role.
• Experience with machine learning concepts, algorithms, and techniques.
• Hands-on knowledge with Python (e.g. Pandas, sklearn) and SQL in a data analysis capacity.
• Basic knowledge of Tableau or a similar data visualization tool.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with demand forecasting is a plus.
• Experience with Alteryx and Snowflake is a plus.
