The Junior Data System Analyst position is a contract role focused on gathering and documenting requirements, exploring solutions, and facilitating effective communication among various levels of state staff. The role requires strong analytical and relationship management skills, along with hands-on experience in data modeling and process modeling. The analyst will work in a hybrid environment, primarily in Nashville, TN, and will be expected to collaborate effectively with IT product owners and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate sessions to gather and document requirements and explore solutions.
• Negotiate and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels of state staff.
• Demonstrate superior organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
• Engage in hands-on data modeling and process modeling as required.
• Understand the integration of solutions across multiple functional and technical environments.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in similar roles.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with education programs and early childhood is desired.
• Proficiency with databases, data queries, and reporting platforms such as PowerBI.
• Ability to work remotely while maintaining a collaborative work environment.
