About the position
The Junior Database Administrator at SMX is responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing databases across multiple networks. This role ensures that databases function efficiently while maintaining accurate, accessible, and secure data. The position involves collaboration with System Architects and Technical Subject Matter Experts to design and implement database infrastructure that meets organizational needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain databases across multiple networks.
- Ensure databases are functioning efficiently and securely.
- Collaborate with System Architect/Engineer and Technical Subject Matter Experts to design and implement database infrastructure.
- Perform database administration tasks, including backups and recoveries.
- Work with users to resolve database questions or issues.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or 5+ years of experience as a database administrator responsible for large networks with complex databases.
- Experience in deploying and managing efficient database operations and processes.
- Strong technical skills in database design, management, and security.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
