About the position

The Junior Demand Planner is responsible for ensuring customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction through accurate forecasting, tracking, and identifying operational trends in the manufacturing of dairy-related products. This role involves building and managing data requests related to planning, collaborating with various departments, and continuously monitoring forecasts to maintain proper inventory levels.

Responsibilities

  • Review historical sales trends and prepare forecast data.
  • Interact with sales, marketing, finance, and production to understand demand forecast drivers.
  • Adhere to processes for collecting sales forecasts and relevant data.
  • Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for various time horizons.
  • Work with internal and external entities to ensure accurate information for planning.
  • Maintain planning reports that are accessible to multiple departments.
  • Summarize and recommend statistical forecasts for review.
  • Review sales plans, budgets, and recommend changes as required.
  • Prepare and maintain relevant reports and procedures for planning functions.
  • Monitor and adjust forecasts based on external influences and order variances.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement in safety, quality, performance, and cost.
  • Achieve assigned goals in safety, quality, performance, and cost.
  • Comply with GMPs, SOPs, and corporate policies.
  • Report safety concerns and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills across various departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry or 1-2 years in a forecasting or production planning role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Experience with analytical and reporting tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of ERP and Cloud ERP tools is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data analytics and management, including SQL/DAX.
  • Familiarity with office management procedures and general knowledge of office equipment.
