About the position

The Junior Demand Planner at Alpinestars USA is responsible for supporting the sales management team by developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts for various product categories. This role involves analyzing sales data, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to optimize the company's market presence across different channels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain forecast models for various product categories using analytical skills and forecast information from sales and other sources.
• Communicate with Sales Management to analyze the business and understand customer needs while managing inventory levels.
• Ensure that seasonal forecasting remains accurate as more information becomes available in the demand process.
• Own all stages of the forecast for the season and work closely with Sales Management.
• Responsible for monthly and rolling three-month forecast accuracy and improvement.
• Validate information and help identify trends for the Sales team.
• Identify concerning sales and inventory level trends and work with relevant parties to resolve issues.
• Build slow-moving inventory reports and collaborate with Sales to address these issues.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of Demand Planning experience required, preferably in the apparel industry.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of Excel and experience with databases and SAP is a plus.
• Excellent collaboration skills to drive cross-functional results in day-to-day business operations.
• Competent in managing inputs from cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on producing exceptional deliverables.
