About the position

The Junior Designer / CAD Specialist at Distinctive Displays Inc. is responsible for creating and modifying 3D renderings and CAD drawings for exhibit design and fabrication. This role involves collaboration with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate and visually appealing designs that meet project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design and create 3D renderings and CAD drawings for exhibits.
• Adjust and modify existing CAD/3D files for schematics, floorplans, and renderings.
• Work directly with the shop foreman to ensure building plans are accurate.
• Assign graphic sizes and check graphic files for proper resolution and file types prior to printing.
• Accurately save all files according to client and project specifications.
• Collaborate with clients to finalize optimal design/layout.
• Work with the senior design director on design responsibilities.
• Create graphic proofs and fixture layouts.

Requirements

• Proficiency in CAD software and 3D rendering tools.
• Experience in exhibit design and fabrication.
• Strong understanding of construction and design principles.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with graphic design software.
• Knowledge of printing processes and file types.
