About the position

Atelier 19AD6 is seeking a Junior Designer and Project Coordinator to join their team in Oakland/San Francisco, CA. This role combines creative design assistance with project management support, making it ideal for individuals who are both artistic and organized. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior designers to develop design concepts for residential and commercial projects.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, renderings, and presentations using design software (e.g., Chief Architect, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit).
  • Source materials, finishes, and fixtures to meet project requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining design integrity throughout the construction process.
  • Communicate design ideas through visual and written presentations.
  • Support project managers in planning, scheduling, and tracking project timelines and deliverables.
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure all project goals are aligned.
  • Maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and meeting notes.
  • Assist in resolving issues that arise during project execution and report updates to management.
  • Monitor project budgets to ensure efficiency and timely completion.
  • Leverage Houzz Pro for project management, including client communication, budgeting, and tracking project progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, construction management, or related field.
  • Proficiency in design software (Chief Architect, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using Houzz Pro is preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management software is a plus.
