About the position

The Junior DevOps Engineer will focus on developing tools for continuous deployment of a cloud-based networking service platform, while also assisting in the operation and monitoring of the service. This role emphasizes automation and maintainability at scale, requiring a strong background in both software and hardware testing and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Development and design of systems with a focus on automation and maintainability at a large scale
• Software and hardware testing and deployment to staging and production environments
• Platform integration and programmatic infrastructure management.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer or platform developer
• Strong operations background with a focus on process or MOPS
• Strong Linux fundamentals with experience in CentOS RPM
• Experience with deployment and management systems such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Shocker
• Experience in automation and virtualization of cloud platforms like VMware/OpenStack and AWS
• Scripting experience using Python, Java, Node.js, Shell, or Perl
• Production experience using load balancers
• Experience with cloud technologies like Apache and Kafka.
