About the position

The Electrical Engineer - Robotics position involves designing and executing tests for electromechanical systems, supporting their build and installation, and ensuring their functionality through rigorous testing and verification. The role requires collaboration with suppliers and contract manufacturers to deliver fully assembled systems to customers, as well as conducting system design analyses to enhance reliability and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, the engineer will lead root cause analysis and failure prevention for large fleets of deployed robots.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute tests for documentation including bills of material (BOMs), assembly drawings, and maintenance instructions.
• Support build and installation of systems.
• Work with suppliers and contract manufacturers for delivery and deployment of fully assembled, functional, and tested electromechanical systems to customer facilities.
• Perform test and verification of prototype systems.
• Conduct system design analyses, including reliability, design-for-manufacture, design-for-assembly, and cost-takeout.
• Support large deployed fleets of robots by leading root cause analysis and failure prevention.

Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience in automation and robotics.
• Knowledge of sensors and electrical schematics.
• Ability to work with cables and wiring.
