Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering knowledge to develop, calculate, and test mathematical models for civil engineering applications.

  • Use computer software tools to model engineering problems and prepare economic analyses.
  • Integrate, summarize, and synthesize data from various sources to formulate technical recommendations.
  • Apply technical and interpersonal skills to achieve workable solutions to engineering problems.
  • Demonstrate excellent people skills in meetings and technical presentations.
  • Communicate effectively in writing, preparing concise engineering reports and correspondence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in an ABET accredited Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering curriculum, or a California Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate.
  • Must possess a valid California driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record.
  • No prior experience is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with hydraulic analysis and water distribution network analysis.
  • Familiarity with environmental reports and feasibility studies.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools.
