About the position

The City of New York is seeking Junior Engineers for the Department of Design and Construction's Division of Infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Conduct research studies and engineering investigations related to various engineering functions.
• Carry out civil engineering tasks of moderate complexity under supervision.
• Participate in design-related site inspections and field surveys.
• Assist in cost estimation and specification writing.
• Perform structural calculations as required.

Requirements

• A baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college is required.
• Candidates must be currently probable permanent in the Civil Engineering Intern title or reachable on the Open-Competitive List (Exam #9036 or #2009).
