About the position

We are looking for a junior financial/controlling analyst to contribute as a generalist across multiple finance mandates at Swiss Re. This role will provide you with the opportunity to interact with a variety of teams across Finance, Risk, and Asset Management. This position requires a strong desire and intellectual curiosity to learn from multiple functions within Asset Management (AM) Finance, and the broader AM organization. Over time, you will develop a keen understanding of the valuation and reserving landscape, including regulatory and accounting standards, and serve as a subject matter expert within the organization. In this role, you will support valuation governance across multiple asset classes, assist in reporting of Expected Credit Loss (ECL) results under IFRS 9, and collaborate with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) colleagues on strategic initiatives to enhance and simplify existing business and financial reporting processes. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing materials for quarterly valuation governance meetings, ensuring timely submissions of meeting materials and documentation of meeting minutes, and preparing reporting packages for reserving committees and senior management in support of the ECL result. You will also maintain and coordinate updates to various governance policies, support the implementation and ongoing improvement of reporting and analytics tools that address the primary drivers of valuation and ECL results, and assist in coordinating the ECL process by liaising with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of data and process enhancements as warranted. Additionally, you will support various AM Finance initiatives, including integration across FP&A and performance reporting teams, establish a strong link between valuations and ECL processes, and assist in developing process and procedural documentation.
