About the position

The Junior Front End React Developer at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) will play a crucial role in developing mission-critical applications that enhance user capabilities and ensure safety. This position involves designing and improving user interfaces using ReactJS, while working with advanced technologies in a collaborative environment. The developer will contribute to the growth of data processing requirements and support various software systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support production user-facing applications in support of mission objectives.
• Provide ongoing development, maintenance, support, and software enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex problems and provide customer support for software systems and application issues.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvements.
• Work alongside other engineers on the team to sustain and advance our organization's capabilities.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 2 years of application design and development experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with React.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and web development.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Node.js, AWS, Docker, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Cassandra and microservices architecture.
