About the position

CGS Business Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Developer for a contract-to-hire position. This role involves working with new technologies and architectures in a forward-thinking organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building products across the stack, with expertise in web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back-end languages. The Full Stack Developer will lead the development of key features, architect solutions, and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment.
• Develop and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale.
• Work primarily in ReactJS, JavaScript, and Node.js.
• Engage with designers and front-end engineers and collaborate with back-end engineers to create reliable APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define project requirements.
• Collaborate across time zones via Slack, GitHub comments, documents, and frequent video conferences.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure code quality and best practices are followed.
• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks and optimize application performance.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in software development.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• 1+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong web development experience with both front-end and back-end technologies, including ReactJS and Node.js.
• Proven experience developing web applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
• Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB), and experience with database design and optimization.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfortable with Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a GitHub profile.
