About the position

The Junior Full Stack React/Node.js Developer position at Dev Technology is designed for individuals who are eager to engage in Agile Software Development for systems that support critical missions for federal clients. This role encompasses the entire software development lifecycle, starting from the requirements gathering phase through to coding and testing. The developer will be responsible for communicating project status, including any issues and risks, to the team, and will collaborate closely with team members to resolve problems effectively. The position also emphasizes continuous learning, as developers will be expected to acquire new skills in a fast-paced environment, adapting to the evolving needs of the project and the client. In this role, the developer will work on a variety of tasks that require a solid understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies. The position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, where the developer must research issues, identify root causes, and recommend and implement effective solutions. Strong communication skills are essential, as the developer will need to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and ensure that client needs and expectations are met or exceeded. Responsibilities

• Engage in Agile Software Development for mission-critical systems.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to coding and testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
• 1-3 years of professional experience as a full stack application developer.
• Experience with React UI or related UI frameworks (e.g., Angular).
• Proficiency in Node.js development.
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud Tools.
• Ability to understand complex business processes and their relation to supporting systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills to research issues and implement solutions.
• Aptitude for quickly learning new technologies and a desire for professional growth.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Java is preferred.
• Experience with AWS Lambda is preferred.
• Familiarity with Single Page Application (SPA) concepts and libraries is preferred.
• Experience with agile and DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, Ansible, and Junit is preferred.
• Experience in writing SQL and working with relational databases like PostgreSQL and/or Dynamo DB is highly preferred.
• ICE clearance is preferred.
• USCIS, CBP, or Top Secret clearance is preferred.
• Any other DHS or government clearance is preferred.
