About the position
Delmock Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Junior GIS Developer/Analyst to assist in the development of geographic information systems applications. This role involves applying fundamental GIS concepts and practices to technical assignments, collaborating with stakeholders, and supporting the implementation and maintenance of GIS environments.
Responsibilities
- Apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
- Write programs and develop user interfaces, menus, and macro-level commands to meet user needs.
- Perform simple spatial analyses and produce reports according to customer specifications.
- Assist in the development of geographic information systems applications that may link parcel maps.
- Support implementation and maintenance of the ESRI GIS environment.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to elicit requirements and processes.
- Design software solutions that adhere to programming best practices.
- Perform unit testing to validate solutions and assist with user acceptance testing.
- Follow change management procedures to migrate new solutions to Production.
- Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving identified issues.
- Follow service level agreement (SLA) metrics when resolving production issues.
- Collaborate with IT team to deliver secure solutions on schedule and on budget.
- Mitigate security vulnerabilities by working with IT Security and COTS vendor.
- Work with COTS vendor to support, maintain, and upgrade applications.
- Configure maintenance objects and business objects in Oracle WAM.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Geography, GIS, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in GIS.
- Some knowledge of ESRI GIS technology suite.
- Experience with JavaScript, SQL, Oracle or SQL databases, SharePoint, ServiceNow, and MS Office products (Word, Excel).
