About the position
The Junior Graphic Designer/Digital Print Production role at Minuteman Press involves creating and modifying artwork according to customer specifications, preparing files for printing, and providing customer service. This position requires proficiency in graphic design software and digital printing equipment, with a focus on detail and meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Design new artwork to customer specifications
- Modify customer-provided artwork or existing artwork as needed
- Properly prepare files for printing and production
- Submit files as needed to outside vendors
- Provide customer service through in-person, phone, and email contact
- Quote jobs
- Process jobs on digital print equipment
Requirements
- Positive, can-do, upbeat attitude
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro)
- Fiery Command Workstation proficiency
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
- Digital printing experience (Ricoh, Xante, Xerox, Konica)
- Proficient in English spelling and grammar; skilled in proofreading
- Detail-oriented graphically and in written content
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven work environment
Nice-to-haves
- 3 years of graphic design experience (Preferred)
- 3 years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Preferred)
- 3 years of experience with Adobe Illustrator (Preferred)
