About the position

The Junior Graphic Designer will support the Brand & Creative Services team at Mendocino Farms, focusing on creating marketing collateral and assets to enhance brand awareness and promote menu offerings. This role involves collaborating closely with the Art Director to conceptualize and design both digital and print materials that align with the company's unique graphic style and marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, and capable of producing visually appealing content while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Art Director with print and digital content
  • Producing interactive digital content for emails, social posts, Google Display Ads, YouTube Ads, and social media ads
  • Adapting and versioning creative based on existing templates
  • Attending and assisting with photoshoots
  • Auditing and maintaining our photo library
  • Assisting with print production of new menus, in-store signage, and flyers
  • Learning organization systems required to keep track of deliverable needs and timelines
  • Pitching creative concepts
  • Collaborating with teams to ensure that all designs align with the brand's style guides, while also meeting usability and website standards.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of relevant graphic design experience
  • Proficiency in the latest versions of Adobe CS, with strong knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, specifically translating designs to PowerPoint and Word templates
  • A strong online portfolio that includes examples of web and print work, with attention to detail and quality
  • Knowledge of photo editing and animating a plus (or a willingness to learn!)
  • Food/Beverage industry is strongly preferred
  • Excellent time management and organization skills: capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while working on multiple projects and adhering to deadlines
  • Welcomes constructive creative criticism with an open mind, always seeking to improve work
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of photo editing and animating a plus (or a willingness to learn!)
  • Experience in the Food/Beverage industry is strongly preferred
