About the position

Matrix Design Group, Inc. is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join our MARCOM Team in Phoenix, AZ. This role is ideal for a self-starter with 2-3 years of graphic design experience, who excels in creating engaging visual experiences across various platforms. The successful candidate will manage multiple design tasks and projects, supporting both internal and external clients while demonstrating strong time management and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple design tasks and graphics projects with competing deadlines.
• Conceptualize, design, and develop high-quality print and web-based materials tailored to client needs.
• Create innovative, client-specific materials such as custom pitch books, brochures, and posters.
• Demonstrate strong layout design skills to convey complex ideas clearly and visually appealingly.
• Produce effective designs for various media, including signage and social media.
• Design, edit, and retouch photographs, drawings, floor plans, and site maps.
• Create and edit PowerPoint documents and develop templates.
• Collaborate with technical and creative teams to deliver high-quality products.
• Partner with the Proposal Team to prepare InDesign documents, including formatting and layout.
• Assist in developing marketing materials for the company, such as website content and sales brochures.
• Stay current with industry trends and techniques to ensure innovative design practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related discipline.
• 2-3 years of experience as a graphic designer in a corporate environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Illustrator.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and video editing skills are a plus.
• Experience creating and managing websites using a CMS such as Joomla or WordPress.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Nice-to-haves

• Photography and video editing skills.
• AEC industry experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Engineering industry graphic design experience is a plus.
