About the position
The Junior High Boys Tennis Coach is responsible for leading and developing the tennis program at Kings Junior High School. This role involves coaching student-athletes, organizing practices, and fostering a positive and competitive environment for the team during the spring season.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach the junior high boys tennis team during the spring season.
- Organize and conduct daily practices to improve players' skills and teamwork.
- Develop game strategies and prepare the team for competitions.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration.
Requirements
- Experience in coaching tennis at the junior high or high school level.
- Strong knowledge of tennis rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience as a player in high school or college tennis.
- Certification in coaching or first aid/CPR.
