About the position

Realty Income is seeking a Junior In-House Corporate Paralegal to support day-to-day legal tasks, including legal research and project management. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including co-workers, outside counsel, and government agencies, to ensure compliance and effective management of legal entities. The Junior Corporate Paralegal will play a crucial role in global entity management, corporate governance, and legal operations, contributing to the company's commitment to corporate responsibility and stakeholder value.

Responsibilities

• Assist in global entity management, ensuring U.S. legal entities remain in good standing.
• Coordinate with tax, acquisitions, and real estate operations teams regarding entity formation and qualification.
• Manage U.S. state annual report filings and related billing.
• Maintain and ensure accuracy of the global entity management database.
• Act as the primary contact for third-party entity management service providers in the U.S.
• Collaborate with the tax team for entity designations and reorganizations.
• Conduct research on corporate governance and compliance issues.
• Assist with preparation and organization of board and stockholder meetings.
• Support due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, including document organization and review.
• Assist with various legal operations, including expense reports and file organization.

Requirements

• 1+ years of relevant legal experience.
• Undergraduate degree from an accredited U.S. university (associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent).
• Combination of education, training, experience, skills, and other characteristics that provide requisite knowledge and abilities.
