About the position

The Junior Instructional Designer at Centerfield will play a crucial role in developing engaging and visually captivating learning materials. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with a background in graphic design who are eager to transition into instructional design. The role involves collaboration with the instructional design team to create e-learning courses, interactive tutorials, and live training sessions, while also maintaining brand identities and ensuring high-quality visual assets.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the instructional design team to develop creative and engaging learning materials.
  • Create and edit visual assets such as illustrations, infographics, icons, and images to support learning objectives.
  • Develop and maintain brand identities across multiple verticals.
  • Create and maintain a library of visual assets utilizing a combination of design tools.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand instructional goals and translate complex concepts into visually compelling materials.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to graphic design and instructional design.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to design guidelines throughout the development process.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining project files and assets with a high level of attention to detail.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in an educational or corporate training context.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software.
  • Basic understanding of instructional design principles and learning theories.
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong graphic design skills and creativity, especially in educational contexts.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards for visual design in learning materials is a plus.
