About the position

We're seeking an eager Jr. Integrated Media Buyer for our Site Direct buying department. This role is responsible for the execution of media plans spanning all forms of digital, including video, audio, and display across a variety of clients. Site direct media is classified as all forms of digital media that are purchased on a direct-IO, managed service basis. It does not include search or social media but may include programmatic media. This is an entry level position that will report to the Site Direct Media Manager. Ideal candidates have agency experience in the media planning or buying field in the form of an internship or other similar role. A Bachelor's Degree in an advertising or related area is strongly preferred. All candidates should exhibit a high degree of attention to detail and organizational skills, developed verbal and written communication skills, a curiosity and desire to learn, enthusiasm, and positivity.

Responsibilities

  • Build campaigns in Prisma according to media specs as prescribed by planners, hitting associated due dates and deadlines
  • Send Insertion Orders to media vendors via Prisma
  • Revise campaigns in Prisma as edits are made and requested by planners. Manage all associated follow ups, such as vendor and cross-departmental communication of changes
  • Pace all assigned campaigns on a weekly basis to ensure that vendors are on track to deliver in full. Work with vendors to address areas of underpacing and make optimization recommendations to planners as needed
  • Request avails and rates from media vendors for Site Direct media; including display, video and audio channels
  • Negotiate and input makegoods as needed
  • Analyze media performance and assist with the creation of client facing reports
  • Maintain relationships with media vendors. Be an active participant in vendor calls and meetings
  • Take notes for all meetings and disseminate them to the team
  • Maintain up to date vendor contact directory
  • Gather information required to set up new vendors in Prisma and work with media accounting to do so
  • Review and reconcile invoices in Prisma by provided monthly deadlines
  • Work directly with vendors to address any invoice issues (missing, late, incorrect, etc)
  • Assist media accounting department on ad hoc tasks/issue resolution when necessary

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in advertising or related area is strongly preferred
  • Agency experience in media planning or buying, preferably in the form of an internship or similar role
  • High degree of attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Curiosity and desire to learn
  • Enthusiasm and positivity

Nice-to-haves

  • Prisma experience a strong plus
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and point
  • Experience with reading, analyzing, developing & interpreting media materials, including media/advertising verbiage, acronyms, and abbreviations
