About the position

The Junior Interior Designer at Regency General Contractors will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that align with clients' needs and preferences. This role involves collaboration with clients, realtors, and contractors to bring design concepts to life, ensuring high-quality service and product delivery throughout the renovation process.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with pre-selected designs and materials.
• Develop design concepts and present them to clients for approval.
• Create detailed drawings, renderings, and 3D models using software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketchup.
• Select materials, finishes, plumbing, lighting, flooring, and paint for each project.
• Coordinate, lead, and encourage project teams to achieve optimum results.
• Evaluate job-site progress and update project schedules accordingly.
• Communicate design concepts and intent through various media.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and meet strict deadlines.
• Determine and acquire necessary project resources within budgetary limitations.
• Meet with clients to determine their goals, preferences, and budget for the project.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of related experience in interior design.
• Knowledge of the interior design process, including FF&E, furniture systems, specs, colors, and materials.
• Experience in space planning, design concept development, pre-design, and construction administration.
• Ability to prepare designs and drawings using project specs, instructions, and standard practices.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal and negotiating skills.
• Basic understanding of trades and scopes, the permit and inspection process, and health and safety standards.
