About the position

The Junior Interior Designer will assist a team of luxury residential and commercial designers in various projects, from renovations to new constructions. This role involves working closely with team members throughout all project phases, ensuring timelines and deadlines are met while maintaining client and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist design team in creating functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing spaces.
• Work on layout plans, 3D models, and color boards.
• Conduct site visits to oversee the construction process.
• Use design software to create models and visuals.
• Research and follow industry changes, evolutions, and best practices.
• Help source materials and products for projects.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Assist with budget estimates and tracking project expenses.
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions when necessary.

Requirements

• A degree in Interior Design or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in an interior design firm.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator, or other design programs.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop.
• Basic knowledge of layouts, color theory, and spatial planning.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• A keen eye for detail and design aesthetics.
• Ability to manage time and work on multiple projects.
• Ability for local and out of state travel for jobsite visits and project installations.
