About the position

Colwen Hotels' Design and Purchasing department is seeking a Junior Interior Designer to assist the Design Manager and Senior Designer in all aspects of the design process, from initial stages to final installation. This role involves collaboration with Lead Designers and the Purchasing Team on hospitality and multi-family projects, executing design sets in Revit, creating finish schedules, and managing vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Design Manager and Senior Designer in the design process.
• Execute CD sets in Revit and create finish schedules.
• Implement renderings and source finishes for projects.
• Manage vendor relationships and organize the design library.
• Write specifications and source new products.
• Draft, model, and create millwork shop drawings in Revit.
• Develop concept and design presentations, including 3D renderings.
• Create project binders and presentation boards.
• Oversee ordering samples and requesting pricing for materials.
• Coordinate technical specifications for FF&E.

Requirements

• Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited program.
• 1-3+ years of experience in the Interior Design industry.
• Detail-oriented and highly meticulous.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude.
• Strong communication and presentation skills in Adobe and Microsoft Suites.
• Revit experience is required.

Nice-to-haves
