About the position

We are seeking a Junior Designer to join our team based in NYC. The ideal candidate should have experience in the residential interior design field and be detail-oriented, organized, and adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with the design team, clients, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Performing computer and manual drafting, including conceptual sketches, furniture plans, and elevations.
• Establishing and recording specifications, including notes, measurements, photos, and details from meetings.
• Working with vendors on all aspects of sourcing, quoting, specifying, pricing, and managing orders.
• Ensuring accurate incoming and outgoing information to and from vendors, including project deadlines, specifications, and estimates.
• Assisting in the sourcing and selection of all interior finishes, furnishings, textiles, lighting, and accessories.
• Developing presentations, drawings, and renderings.
• Maintaining records and communication documents to track the progress of projects.

Requirements

• Experience in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with MS Office.
• Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Sketch-Up.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
