About the position

Lori Margolis Interiors is seeking a Junior Interior Designer to support the team and principal in a quickly growing firm with clients based in NYC, Connecticut, and the Hamptons. The role involves a mix of in-office and remote work, focusing on both residential and commercial interior design projects.

Responsibilities

• Preparing client presentations
• Identifying, selecting, and specifying architectural products and vendors
• Producing technical and construction documentation (plans, elevations, sections, architectural/millwork details)
• Developing interior design packages and concept/mood strategies
• Creating visuals for client meetings in Photoshop
• Communicating and corresponding with vendors
• Managing job sites during installations
• Maintaining detailed budget spreadsheets
• Creating and tracking purchase orders
• Assisting the principal through all phases of a project from proposal to delivery
• Planning, drawing, and designing for project completion
• Producing construction documents to support design concepts
• Producing and reviewing project proposal specs
• Coordinating details of architectural/interior design projects
• Coordinating with architects and outside consultants throughout all project phases.

Requirements

• 2 - 3+ years professional experience with a focus on Residential and Commercial Interiors
• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design
• Highly proficient in AutoCAD and Photoshop
• Strong organizational, creative, and presentation skills
• Productive attitude and willingness to collaborate with the team
• Ability to work under pressure, produce deliverables, and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
