About the position

The Junior IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating IT Field Services projects, ensuring they align with organizational goals. This role involves planning, executing, and closing projects while managing resources, schedules, and stakeholder communications, including interactions with high-level executives. The position also focuses on risk management and the timely delivery of materials and services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and closure of IT projects.
• Contribute to the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress against milestones and adjust as necessary.
• Manage logistics for equipment and facility readiness.
• Travel to client sites as needed for project oversight.
• Allocate and optimize resources to meet project requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely material and service delivery.
• Conduct training and orientations for project resources.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
• Proactively address obstacles and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Monitor performance metrics and take corrective action when needed.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in IT project coordination/management or related field.
• Knowledge of IT hardware and software systems.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Experience working with high-level executives is a plus.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Ability to lift and move computer equipment up to 50 lbs.
