Responsibilities

  • Daily review of system logs and security events for any suspicious or unauthorized activity
  • Review, investigate, and respond to real-time alerts within the environment
  • Identify/evaluate evolving malware threats on a daily basis
  • Work with vendors to configure intrusion detection systems and develop rules to address new threats
  • Respond to and remediate all cyber security alerts generated by vendors
  • Conduct threat hunting through SIEM to proactively look for possible network and data compromises
  • Triage Data Loss Prevention alerts, identify and investigate security incidents
  • Identify IT systems vulnerabilities using scanning tools, validate, and coordinate for remediation
  • Monitor emails for threats and add high-risk users to high vigilance
  • Investigate phishing emails reported and assess their impact
  • Conduct security incident investigations
  • Review websites for risk on business requests and periodically review firewall exceptions and whitelisting list
  • Audit and monitor privileged user risk
  • Support a security-aware culture
  • Assist with the establishment of necessary policies and controls to secure the environment
  • Monitor cyber security reports from external sources and communicate threats as necessary
  • Weekly review of vulnerability reports and remediation of any findings
  • Monthly review of Data Center access logs
  • Review/update IT Operations calendar to reflect changes in cyber security practices and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with manager to create Information Security procedural documentation
  • Other assigned responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proficiency with MS Excel
  • General knowledge of Information Technology & Information Security best practices
  • Ability to identify, report, and remediate cyber security risks and vulnerabilities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
