About the position

The position involves supporting the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) in various engineering and program management functions. The role focuses on acquisition program management, financial planning, and internal IT processes to enhance the effectiveness of undersea warfare systems for the U.S. Navy. The candidate will work in a hybrid environment, balancing time between government sites and remote work.

Responsibilities

• Collect, review, and analyze information to make recommendations to the Government.
• Define the nature and extent of problems and analyze relevant data, including annual revenues and cost performance.
• Provide services to support the development and refinement of departmental business processes, particularly in financial practices.
• Support and participate in LEAN events and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) initiatives.
• Develop solutions to customer problems and understand the organization's internal culture.
• Prepare and solve mathematical models and report findings to the Government, both in writing and through oral presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree in a business or technical field preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience, particularly in budgeting, accounting applications, and cost analysis.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Tableau, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Visio.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance.
• High level of proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and effective organizational skills.
