About the position

The Junior Management Business Analyst position at QinetiQ US involves supporting the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division in Newport by providing analytical and program management support. The role focuses on financial practices, budgetary planning, and improving business processes within the organization. The analyst will work in a hybrid environment, balancing time between government sites and remote work, while contributing to the safety and security of defense operations.

Responsibilities

• Collect, review, and analyze information to make recommendations to the Government.
• Define the nature and extent of problems and analyze relevant data, including annual revenues and cost performance.
• Support the development and refinement of departmental business processes, particularly in financial practices for all projects.
• Participate in LEAN events and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) initiatives.
• Develop solutions to customer problems and understand the organization's internal culture.
• Prepare and solve mathematical models and report findings to the Government, including written reports and oral presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree in a business or technical field preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience, particularly in budgeting, accounting applications, and cost analysis.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Tableau, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Visio.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance.
• High level of proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and effective organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
