About the position

Belcan is seeking highly motivated Project Engineers for positions in Middletown, CT, Windsor, CT and East Hartford, CT. These roles are full-time, direct positions with benefits, designed for high-performing, high-energy individuals with technical backgrounds. The ideal candidates will have strong customer-facing skills and be able to manage various engineering and project tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes
  • Create and maintain Work Instruction Packages
  • Conduct readiness reviews and manage manufacturing readiness activities
  • Evaluate and implement process improvements
  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Design and evaluate tools and fixtures for production
  • Participate in cost reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives
  • Act as a liaison between engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams
  • Interface daily with customers to support project needs and resolve issues
  • Manage project tasks, schedules, and resources
  • Provide status updates, prepare reports, and deliver presentations
  • Develop and track project metrics and trends

Requirements

  • AS or BS Degree in an engineering, STEM, or relevant discipline or equivalent manufacturing & project engineering experience
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, project engineering, industrial engineering or relevant field. Internship experience will be considered.
  • Strong self-management skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Outgoing personality with excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to absorb information quickly, ask insightful questions, and deliver positive outcomes
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work

Nice-to-haves

  • Blueprint reading, data analytics, and comfortability/familiarity with machine shop environments
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, quality methodologies, PPAP
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Previous exposure to SAP, SharePoint, SmartSheets, NX, or TEAMCENTER
