About the position

The Junior Network Analyst is responsible for managing the hospital's information system network, including network and telecommunications hardware, patch management, risk management, and server management. This role requires knowledge in network and telecom infrastructure to support a multi-user, multi-location electronic information system. The analyst will assist with network security, install new applications, monitor daily network activities, and participate in disaster preparedness activities.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the facility mission, vision, and values by effectively communicating them to others.
  • Identify information systems network requirements by analyzing architecture, applications, programming, and operations.
  • Plan network installations and/or upgrades or expansions by developing detailed implementation and integration processes.
  • Conduct capacity planning, network modeling, traffic analysis, and forecasting for large information systems projects.
  • Minimize system downtime through early identification of potential problems and prompt response when the system fails.
  • Monitor network asset inventories including IPs, network infrastructure components, and equipment tracking.
  • Assist with vendor relations and maintain current technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.
  • Conduct tests or evaluations of products or equipment prior to acquisition and/or deployment in an operating environment if directed.
  • Ensure information systems network infrastructure standards and policies through documentation and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Perform in-depth analysis and maintenance on complex network hardware and software installations and repairs at multiple locations.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software components including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Coordinate vendor support and serve as vendor liaison for network-related installations and repairs.
  • Monitor and perform daily operations of telephony systems including VoIP systems and assist users with prompt resolution of issues.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Networking, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in enterprise network/telecommunication infrastructure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with information systems network projects.
