About the position

The Junior Operations Research Analyst (Model Based) position at Sabre Systems involves providing systems engineering support for weapons systems at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. The role focuses on applying scientific, mathematical, and statistical methodologies to analyze technological problems and support the acquisition process of aircraft, weapon, and integrated systems. The analyst will utilize model-based systems engineering (MBSE) practices and tools to design and execute experiments, tests, and evaluations on various systems throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Support customers at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in systems engineering for weapons systems.
• Conduct technical research and development of technologies related to aircraft and weapon systems.
• Analyze and document the technical performance and mission suitability of systems.
• Evaluate acquisition risks throughout the full acquisition process and lifecycle of programs.
• Apply scientific, mathematical, and statistical methodologies to technological problems.
• Use mathematical and computerized modeling to design and execute procedures for experiments and tests on weapons systems.
• Utilize MBSE practices and tools to support system requirements and design activities.

Requirements

• Management, Technical or Scientific AS or AA degree.
• Experience in systems engineering and model-based methodologies.
• Experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo System Modeler and Cameo Enterprise Architect.
• Completion of a SysML modeling language course.
• Active DoD secret clearance.
• Ability to pass a background investigation.
• U.S. Citizenship.
